This article explores the current pandemic context through the lens of education, focusing on teaching and learning in Business Administration. It uses a technical school in São Paulo, specializing in consumer goods management, as an empirical case. The authors aim to investigate the parallels between the Case Method and Active Learning methodologies in remote teaching, and to assess how students perceived the Case Method as an effective learning strategy. A qualitative research approach is adopted, drawing on theoretical reflections on Active Learning methodologies and using a Case Study method with student surveys conducted via Survey Monkey. The key research question is: How can the Case Method be considered an appropriate strategy for remote teaching? The main findings indicate that the Case Method used by the Academy is suitable for remote learning, as it incorporates Active Learning principles that support effective and meaningful learning. Students recognize its benefits in four main areas: (i) practical learning; (ii) class dynamics; (iii) challenge quality; and (iv) engagement.
